      <image:title>About - Amy Glick, M.D.</image:title>
<image:caption>The child of a psychologist, I have always been fascinated by mental health. My undergraduate education at Columbia helped me further explore my interests in Philosophy, Psychology and the power of personal narratives. My training in medical school helped me appreciate the connection of mind and body. It provided me the opportunity to learn from my patients and support them through some of the hardest and most meaningful periods of their lives. I chose to do residency at Mount Sinai Hospital because of their emphasis on cutting-edge research and psychotherapy training. While in New York, I had the opportunity to get advanced training as a fellow at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute. I also trained in behaviorally oriented therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). My additional fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry has helped me understand the ways that early attachment patterns and development affect adult identity and interpersonal relationships. It also provided me with a number of tools to help support parents struggling with children with behavioral difficulties.</image:caption>
